--PG&E Corp. (PCG) is close to a deal that would see a sitting board member replaced with one proposed by BlueMountain Capital Management, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing "people familiar with the matter."

--Fred Buckman, the former head of Consumers Energy, would join the PG&E board under the deal, with a second independent director being appointed in the future, the report said.

--The company also would add the former chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, Chris Hart, as a special adviser, the report said.
