WASHINGTON -- President Biden will pledge to share 20 million
doses of Covid-19 vaccines produced by Moderna Inc., Pfizer Inc.
and Johnson & Johnson with other countries, according to a
White House official, amid pressure from other nations to do more
to help the global pandemic response.
Mr. Biden will say the vaccine doses will be exported by the end
of June, the official said.
Demand for vaccines declined in the U.S. in recent weeks after
the number of daily doses administered reached a mid-April peak of
3.38 million. An average of 1.9 million doses were administered
each day over the past week, according to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention.
