The Pentagon on Friday said Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. was
awarded a $959,104,178 firm-fixed-price contract for production of
common infrared countermeasures.
The Pentagon said bids were solicited via the internet and one
bid was received.
The work locations and funding will be determined with each
order, the Pentagon said, adding the estimated completion for the
work is April 29, 2026.
Northrop Grumman said its common infrared countermeasures system
"provides protection against a wide range of infrared-guided
anti-aircraft missile threats, including shoulder-fired and
vehicle-launched."
