RWE AG subsidiary RWE Renewables GmbH and the U.S. National Grid have entered into a partnership agreement to develop offshore wind projects in Northeast U.S., RWE said Thursday.

Under the agreement, the companies are set to jointly bid in the New York Bight seabed lease auction, RWE said. It added that the development of offshore wind projects will contribute to New York state's target of bringing 9,000 megawatts of offshore wind online by 2035.
