Rheinmetall Signs Letter of Intent for F-35 Center Fuselages

Germany's Rheinmetall AG said Friday that it has signed a letter
of intent with Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp. as
a potential partner to supply center fuselages for the F-35 combat
jet.
The potential partnership would establish a second integrated
assembly line for F-35 center fuselage in Germany, Rheinmetall
said.
The letter of intent signed with Lockheed and Northrop makes
Rheinmetall a promising strategic source of supply for the F-35
center fuselage, the German defense company said.
