--The European Union is set to fine banks including Citigroup
Inc. (C) and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) over collusion on
foreign-exchange trade, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed
sources.
--Fines may be announced by the European Commission as soon as
this week as part of a settlement, according to Bloomberg, which
says banks could get reduced fines if they agree not to challenge
the findings.
--Barclays PLC (BARC.LN), HSBC Holdings PLC (HSBC) and UBS Group
AG (UBS) are also part of a group of banks that have been
investigated by the commission for almost five years, Bloomberg
