Franklin Templeton proudly announces that Dina Ting, vice president, head of global index portfolio management is one of 10 professionals honored by Money Management Executive with the publication’s Top Women in Asset Management Awards.

“Dina has been instrumental in the successful build out of our Franklin LibertyShares® ETF investment platform and team,” said Patrick O’Connor, head of Global ETFs at Franklin Templeton. “Her entrepreneurial spirit and her ability to engage and inspire people to rally around common goals were essential in building this new business line. We congratulate Dina on this recognition from Money Management Executive.”

Ting, who joined Franklin Templeton in 2015, was one of the few core leaders that built Franklin Templeton’s growing ETF business line from the ground up, introducing the firm’s first smart beta and passive index-based strategies. From the start, Ting has been involved with driving ETF strategy and product launches, which to date have included 63 ETFs listed across US, Canada and Europe. The global Franklin LibertyShares ETF platform, which includes smart beta, passive and active ETFs has $4 billion in assets under management as of May 3, 2019.

“Being recognized by Money Management Executive is a great honor through which I hope to inspire others to own their careers and build a network of mentors and advisors to harness their professional potential. But most importantly, be true to your authentic self,” added Ting.

Ting has been involved in promoting greater gender diversity in finance as an active mentor for the Girls Who Invest program that Franklin Templeton has partnered with over the last several years. For two consecutive years, she hosted a female college student for a six-week summer internship with her portfolio management team. She is also a founding member of the Bay Area Chapter of Women@FTI, an employee business resource group at Franklin Templeton with over 1,000 members worldwide with the goal to encourage, inspire, champion and support women to reach their full potential at Franklin Templeton. In 2018, she was named as one of the Most Influential Women in the Bay Area Business by San Francisco Business Times.

The winners of this year’s Top Women in Asset Management Awards were profiled in the May 2019 edition of Money Management Executive.
