Diageo PLC said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Kathryn Mikells will leave the company at the end of June and be replaced by Lavanya Chandrashekar.

The world's largest liquor maker--which owns Johnnie Walker whisky and Tanqueray gin--said that Ms. Chandrashekar is currently chief financial officer for Diageo North America and global head of investor relations. She will take up her new role on July 1.

Ms. Mikells is leaving to return to the U.S. after nearly six years in the role.

Shares at 1305 GMT were up 3.50 pence, or 0.1%, at 2,934.50 pence.
