Explanation of Responses:
(1)	Represents shares of common stock of CorePoint Lodging Inc. ("Issuer") acquired upon the vesting of restricted stock units ("RSUs") indicated in Table II.
(2)	Reflects securities held by a trust for the benefit of the Reporting Person's family, of which the Reporting Person is a trustee. The Reporting Person disclaims beneficial ownership of the shares held by such trust, except to the extent of his pecuniary interest therein.
(3)	Each RSU represents a contingent right to receive one share of the Issuer's common stock payable in common stock, cash or a combination thereof at the discretion of the Issuer's Compensation Committee.
(4)	This amount includes RSUs that the reporting person has accrued through dividend equivalent rights following the grant of the original award, and which vest upon the same schedule and under the same terms as the original grant to which they relate.
(5)	On May 30, 2018, the reporting person was granted 3,499 RSUs, which vest in three equal annual installments beginning on June 11, 2018.
