Chevron Reports Flaring at Richmond, Calif., Refinery

Chevron Corp. reported flaring due to excessive gas emissions at
its Richmond refinery in northern California.
In a statement to the California Emergency Management Agency,
Chevron said the flaring late Monday followed the potential release
of more than 500 pounds of sulfur dioxide.
The 250,000-barrel-a-day Richmond refinery is located just north
of Oakland.
