Chevron Corp. said it was a beginning startup procedures on Thursday related to a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit at its Pasadena, Texas, refiner.

In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the refinery said the startup was beginning early Thursday morning and would end Sunday.

The 110,000-barrel-a-day Pasadena refinery is in the Houston area.
