Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangement of Certain Officers

(b) On July 12, 2021, George Mrkonic provided Brinker International, Inc. (the “Company”) with notice that he would retire from the Company’s Board of Directors following the conclusion of his current term of service on November 17, 2021. Mr. Mrkonic joined the Company’s Board of Directors in 2003 and will have completed more than 18 years of service.
