--BP is considering a sale of its stake in an Algerian gas plant, on the tail of failed talks with Russia's Rosneft about a sale, Reuters reported Thursday, citing "three industry sources."

--BP holds a 45.89% stake in the plant, and is hoping to raise about $2 billion from a sale, the report said.

--A spokesperson for BP declined to comment, and Rosneft didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, the report said.
