Blackstone/Thomson Reuters Consortium to Place 28.0 Million London Stock Exchange Group Shares

Barclays Bank said on Tuesday that the Blackstone/Thomson
Reuters consortium is seeking to sell around 28.0 million shares in
the London Stock Exchange Group through a placing to institutional
investors.
The bank said that the proposed placing shares represent around
5.1% of the stock-exchange and financial-information company and
5.5% of the voting interest.
The price and the final number of shares to be placed will be
determined via an accelerated bookbuilding process, which will
start immediately.
Barclays added that LSEG is not party to the proposed placing
and won't receive any proceeds.
Dow Jones competes with Thomson Reuters in financial news and
information services.
