NEW YORK, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Avon Products,
Inc. (NYSE: AVP) today announced the appointment of Scott Crum as Senior Vice President of Human
Resources and Chief People Officer, effective September 17.
Mr. Crum will report to Sheri McCoy,
Avon's Chief Executive Officer,
and join the company's Executive Committee.

Mr. Crum has significant experience leading human resources
teams and transforming workplace cultures at large, global
companies. Most recently, Mr. Crum served as Senior Vice President
and Chief People Officer of Motorola Mobility, one of two publicly
traded companies created when Motorola split in 2010. In this role,
he led human resources initiatives for establishing Motorola
Mobility as a separate, independent and publicly traded
company. He established a new human resources team and led
global human resources, security and real estate functions through
Motorola Mobility's recent acquisition by Google.
Prior to joining Motorola in 2010, Mr. Crum led human resources
for ITT Corporation for eight years. ITT was a global high tech
multi-industry engineering and manufacturing company with 40,000
employees in 60 countries that served three vital markets.
With the majority of ITT's employees stationed outside of
the United States, Mr. Crum
created a unified employee platform that effectively served a
highly diverse business, established common leadership values, and
built a human resources function with a pronounced customer service
orientation.
Prior to working for ITT, Mr. Crum held a series of
progressively accountable human resources positions including
Senior Vice President of Administration and Human Resources for
General Instrument Corp. and Corporate Vice President, Human
Resources of Latin America for Motorola, Inc.
