With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to affect businesses
around the world, Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE:AVYA) is expanding its
free offers of communication and collaboration apps that are
enabling organizations globally to empower remote workers and
effectively engage with customers and colleagues. The ability to
work-from-anywhere is critical to ensuring business continuity
while keeping employees safe.
Effective immediately, Avaya is offering free 60-day access to
Avaya Spaces, a cloud meeting and team collaboration solution
accessible from a browser or mobile app that enables people and
organizations to connect and collaborate remotely – and goes beyond
integrating chat, voice, video, online meetings and content
sharing. Initially offered free to education institutions and
eligible non-profit organizations worldwide to help during the
COVID-19 pandemic, Avaya Spaces is now available for free to
organizations of any kind that need a simple, secure, and effective
way to track communications and manage tasks when travel and
connectivity are limited.
Additionally, the company is now offering free 90-day licenses
to a wide range of Avaya unified communications solutions
compatible with virtually every Avaya platform, to enable
organizations to transition their teams into remote work
environments to stay engaged and collaborate from anywhere in the
world. The Avaya unified communications portfolio enhances
engagement and productivity with powerful capabilities related to
calling, collaboration and meetings, as well as a range of
flexible, connected phones and devices.
As organizations worldwide rapidly shift to remote operations,
Avaya has empowered over 300,000 workers to connect and collaborate
remotely, and has seen a 700 percent increase in video
collaboration traffic on the Avaya Spaces platform, helping ensure
business and organizational continuity. For example, EVO Payment
International is among the largest fully integrated merchant
payment processors in the world, and needed to quickly adapt to a
remote workforce. “As we are transitioning to more remote work and
collaboration, we are depending on our Avaya solutions more than
ever before,” said Richard Shaget, Global VP – Network and Telecom,
EVO Payment International. “Avaya unified communications and
collaboration solutions are part of our business continuity efforts
and are enabling us to continue to meet the needs of our customers
and keep our workforce safer and productive during this challenging
time.”
Further examples of organizations where Avaya has made a
positive impact include:
- AAA of Southern California, one of California’s largest
insurers and the largest member of the AAA federation providing
roadside assistance, DMV and travel services, turned to Avaya to
enable 10,000 staff members to work from home while continuing to
serve their members

technologies company and one of the largest global defense
