ADRs End Higher, ABB and AstraZeneca Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed higher
Monday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
edged up 2.6% to 123.34. The European index gained 2.7% to 115.79.
The Asian index ticked up 1.5% to 145.47. The Latin American index
jumped 8.1% to 188.56, while the emerging-markets index advanced
2.4% to 254.94.
ABB Ltd. was among those whose ADRs traded actively.
The Swiss technology company ticked down 0.5% after it said it
had completed the spinoff of its turbocharging unit, now called
Accelleron, offering one new Accelleron share for every 20 ABB
shares held.
Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca PLC edged up 1.3% after the
company said it agreed to pay $2.07 a share in cash for LogicBio
Therapeutics Inc. in a deal valued around $68 million.
