New Agreement Adds Extensive Security Solutions
Portfolio to Cover the Full Cyberattack Lifecycle
Tech Data (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that it has expanded its
security solutions portfolio in the U.S. and Canada with Carbon
Black, a leading provider of cloud-native endpoint protection. As a
result, Tech Data customers have full access to Carbon Black’s
complete product line, which includes next-generation antivirus
(NGAV), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) capabilities, for
both cloud and on-premises technology.
“Growing trends in mobility and cloud have made the endpoint the
new perimeter. New and emerging attacks are defeating traditional
cyber defenses, and security teams need sophisticated tools to
address these threats,” said Alex Ryals, vice president, Security
Solutions, North America, at Tech Data. “Through the combination of
Carbon Black products and others from our expansive security
portfolio, Tech Data customers can now offer their clients
solutions that can protect them from the core to the edge of their
network.”
Carbon Black has been recognized as a leading security solution
provider by multiple analyst firms, including IDC, Gartner and
Forrester. The full breadth of Carbon Black cybersecurity
protection is focused in the following areas:
- Cloud-native endpoint protection platform,
- NGAV + EDR in the cloud,
- Advanced threat hunting and incident response in the
cloud,
- Real-time endpoint query and remediation in the cloud,
- Managed alert monitoring and triage,
- Security for virtualized data centers in the cloud,
- On-premises threat hunting and incident response for SOC teams
and
- On-premises application whitelisting and infrastructure
protection
“We are constantly seeing the landscape change as new threats
are deployed to maliciously catch organizations off guard. It has
created a challenging dynamic for security teams as they grapple
with addressing unknown threats. Our technology is developed with
this challenge in mind,” said Victor Baez, vice president,
Worldwide Channels, at Carbon Black. “Between our innovative
solution set and Tech Data’s expertise and portfolio available to
its customers in security, we believe that our combined efforts can
help organizations better secure their infrastructure at all
levels.”
