--Andrew Left, who runs Citron Research, has covered a short position on Facebook Inc. (FB), calling the company's Instagram business a "powerhouse," Reuters reported Monday.

--Mr. Left has a short position on Netflix Inc. (NFLX), saying the company is "addicted to debt" and could suffer from competition from tech firms and traditional media companies. He said "You can't think that the rest of Hollywood will throw its hands up and say, 'OK Netflix, you win.'"

--The report said Mr. Left didn't have short positions in other "FAANG" stocks.
