International stocks trading in New York rose Thursday.

Criteo S.A. and Orange were among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.9% to 132.43. The European index increased 0.5% to 104.18, the Asian index improved 1.4% to 206.98, the Latin American index rose 0.7% to 138.06 and the emerging markets index increased 1.3% to 366.15.

ADRs of Criteo rose 21% Thursday to $16.95. The company reported its third-quarter earnings a day earlier and also gave fourth-quarter guidance. Revenue and profit both fell in the quarter from a year ago.

ADRs of Orange closed 6.9% higher at $11.19. The company reported its third-quarter results on Thursday and its board approved returning to its old dividend.
