Coinbase Global Inc. has received in-principle approval as a major payments institution license holder from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the company said in a press release on Monday.

The license will allow Coinbase to offer regulated digital payment token products and services in Singapore, the company said. This comes after it announced Singapore as a tech hub for Coinbase last year.
