American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL) said it believes it will
start flying Boeing Co.'s (BA) grounded 737 MAX planes June 4.
The airline in December said it believed it would start flying
the plane again April 7.
American said Tuesday around 140 flights a day will be canceled
through June. 3 due to the grounding of the 737 MAX, two of which
crashed, killing 346 people.
The company's reservation team will contact affected customers
directly by email or telephone beginning Jan. 19, it said, adding
that customers who booked through a travel agent will be contacted
by their agency directly.
Customers will have the option to get a refund if they don't
want to be rebooked, American said.
