Okta Inc. said it named John Zissimos as its first chief digital officer.

The identity management platform company said Mr. Zissimos will report to Chief Marketing Officer Kendall Collins and will be responsible for the creative, campaign, digital, and brand strategy for the company.

He most recently was vice president of creative, brand, media, and customer programs at Google and led the team responsible for marketing the Google Cloud Platform globally.

Prior to joining Google, Mr. Zissimos was Salesforce.com Inc.'s chief design officer.
