--Videogame company Activision Blizzard Inc. and Chinese gaming giant NetEase Inc. scrapped a World of Warcraft smartphone game that has been in development for three years, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

--The two companies disagreed over terms and ultimately called a halt to the project, Bloomberg says, citing a person familiar with the deal.

--NetEase has disbanded a team of more than 100 developers tasked with creating content for the title, and only some were offered internal transfers, the report says.

--Representatives for Activision and NetEase didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from Dow Jones Newswires.
