US Futures Mixed, European Stocks Mostly Down

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were flat and futures for the
Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.1%. Changes in futures do not
necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 declined 0.2% in morning
trading. Greggs PLC rose 9.4% and Alcon climbed 5.3%. On the other
hand, Idorsia slipped 7.6%, and Davide Campari-Milano dropped 5.8%.
The FTSE 100 lost 0.2%. Other stocks in Europe were mixed as
France's CAC 40 declined 0.1% and Germany's DAX was flat.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index was flat at 96.98.
In commodities, Brent crude climbed 0.2% to $77.71 a barrel, and
WTI crude gained 0.2% to $72.40 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 1 basis point to 2.179%
from 2.188%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury declined by
1 basis point to 4.004% from 4.015%. Bond prices and yields move in
opposite directions.
Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 index gained 2%,
whereas Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.6%. China's benchmark Shanghai
Composite declined 0.5%.
