Vinci SA said Thursday that first-quarter revenue rose on year, and backed previously given guidance for 2022.

The French concession operator said revenue rose to 12.85 billion euros ($13.95 billion) in the quarter from EUR10.18 billion a year prior, boosted by international revenue. Order intake also rose to EUR12.5 billion from EUR11.6 billion.

The company said its airport division Vinci Airport handled almost 32 million passengers across its network in the quarter, three times the number a year earlier, and 54% of level in the first quarter of 2019.

Vinci backed the outlook for 2022 it had given during full-year results, but said the context is uncertain due to geopolitical tensions and the current public health situation.

The company expects 2022 net income to be higher than in 2019, and said it remains confident that it will be able to maintain consistent growth.
