Italy's ITA Airways said Wednesday that it has firmed up an order for 28 Airbus SE aircraft.

The national carrier said that the order includes seven A220s, 11 A320neos and 10 A330neos. It comes after the parties signed a memorandum of understanding in September.

ITA also said it will pursue its plans to lease A350s in order to complement the modernization of its fleet.

Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.
