Theta EdgeCloud expands sports
partnerships, creating “ClutchBot” for the Houston Rockets
Theta Labs, the leading provider
of decentralized cloud infrastructure for AI, media, and
entertainment, and the Houston Rockets have announced the launch of
“ClutchBot", the team's novel AI-powered mascot. “ClutchBot” is
built to enhance digital fan experiences and provide real-time
information on the official website of the Houston Rockets and act
as a digital mascot for fans to engage with 24/7.
The mascot will utilize a custom AI agent specifically trained
on the Rockets and NBA data to answer fan inquiries about upcoming
games, tickets, lineups, stats, venue information, and team news.
Fans will be able to interact with the agent by asking it questions
such as “When is the next game?” or “How many points did the
Rockets score last night?” and “How many championships did the
Rockets win?” “ClutchBot” will be able to provide accurate, up to
date answers in real time from Houston’s database and the NBA
API.
The collaboration will foster a more immersive and accessible
fan experience that extends beyond the stadium or social media
posts. By creating an interactive mascot with deep team and league
knowledge, fans will be able to be a part of the action like never
before.
Starting next season in the fall of 2025, fans worldwide can
interact with 'ClutchBot' through the official Houston Rockets
website.

About the Houston Rockets:
In October of 2017, Tilman J. Fertitta assumed ownership of the
National Basketball Association’s Houston Rockets in addition to
the operation of the team’s home arena, Toyota Center, which is
located in downtown Houston. The
Rockets, who originated in San Diego and moved to Houston in
1971, are in their 58th season as an NBA franchise and won
back-to-back championships in 1993-94 and 1994-95. When the
NBA announced its 75th Anniversary Team in 2021, the Rockets had
the third-most players honored of any franchise. Through the
team’s charity, the Clutch City Foundation, the Rockets utilize the
power of basketball to transform lives and positively impact our
community. For more information, users can visit www.rockets.com.
