Enel's Renewable Subsidiary Connects Three New Wind Farms in North America

Enel SpA said Thursday that its renewable subsidiary Enel Green
Power North America, Inc. has started to expand a wind farm in the
U.S. and connected two others to the power grid in Canada.
The Rome-based energy company said it has begun a 50-megawatts
expansion of the High Lonesome wind farm in Upton and Crockett
counties in Texas. This increases the project's total capacity to
500 MW and brings its overall investment to around $720
million.
The company also said it has connected its 105 MW Riverview and
29.4 MW Castle Rock Ridge II wind farms in Alberta, Canada to the
grid. The total investment for both projects amounts to over 210
million Canadian dollars ($150.95 million).
