appointment of Jay S. Laifman, Esq. as its General Counsel and
Chief Legal Officer. (Logo:

Laifman comes to Reading from Countrywide Financial Corporation,
where he was Deputy General Counsel, overseeing and handling legal
services for corporate real estate, human resources, intellectual
property, corporate contracts and charitable giving. Prior to that,
Mr. Laifman was with Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, focusing
primarily on real estate matters, including purchases, sales,
leases, financings, joint ventures, construction, management,
governmental relations and litigation. Mr. Laifman graduated in
1985 from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a B.A.
degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Legal Studies and
thereafter received his J.D. in 1988 from Hastings College of the
