Volvo to Deliver 20 Fully Electric Heavy-Duty Trucks to Amazon in Germany

STOCKHOLM--Volvo AB said Thursday that it will deliver 20 fully
electric heavy-duty trucks to Amazon.com Inc. in Germany by
year-end.
The Volvo FH Electric trucks will replace diesel trucks that
Amazon uses and are expected to drive more than one million road
kilometers annually, it said.
The Volvo FH Electric has a range of up to 300 kilometers but
can cover up to 500 kilometers during a normal workday if a top-up
charge is added. It can operate at a total weight of 44 tons, Volvo
added.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
