Norwegian hydrogen-plant manufacturer HydrogenPro AS said Thursday that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with India's Larsen & Toubro Ltd. to take advantage of the emerging green-hydrogen market.

Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational engaged in engineering, construction, manufacturing and technology. Under the agreement, the companies will work toward forming a joint venture in India for manufacturing alkaline water electrolyzers based on HydrogenPro technology for the Indian market and other select geographies.

Alkaline water electrolyzers are used to separate oxygen and hydrogen from water.
