Norfolk Southern Names Amy Miles Non-Executive Chairwoman

Norfolk Southern Corp. on Wednesday said it named Amy Miles
non-executive chairwoman, effective May 1.
The Atlanta freight railroad said Ms. Miles, a board member
since 2014, succeeds James Squires, who last month announced plans
to retire as chairman and chief executive on that date.
Norfolk Southern said Alan Shaw, who succeeded Mr. Squires as
president last month, will join the board when he assumes the CEO
post on May 1, increasing the size of the board to 14 members.
Mr. Squires will remain a director following his retirement, the
company said.
