DoorDash Inc. said it will offer to deliver beer, wine and
spirits through its DoorDash Marketplace in certain markets,
including 20 states and the District of Columbia.
Customers will be able to toggle to an alcohol tab on the
DoorDash app, where they can pick a selection of alcoholic
beverages to order from restaurants, grocery stores, local
retailers and convenience stores, the company said.
The move expands DoorDash's plan to provide alcohol on-demand
delivery for national and local merchants through its channels, it
said. So far, merchants have been able to use DoorDash Drive to
fulfill alcoholic beverage orders.
The new offering will also extend to Canada and Australia, the
company said.
