Southern Co. Makes Founding Investment in Elevate Future Fund

Energy company Southern Co. Wednesday said it made the founding
investment in Elevate Future Fund.
Southern said the fund is a sub-fund of Energy Impact Partners
and "aims to create a more diverse founder community and inclusive
venture capital ecosystem within the broader energy
transition."
Southern Co., which is the founding partner of Energy Impact
Partners, said it will work through Elevate to find companies
founded or run by diverse talents working to advance the low-carbon
economy.
The company said Elevate already invested in several diverse
companies focused on energy transition.
