Rollins Inc. on Wednesday said it has named an interim finance chief amid a continuing investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Atlanta provider of pest- and termite-control services said Julie Bimmerman, who joined the Rollins family of brands in 2004, will serve as interim chief financial officer and treasurer, while Paul Northen, who had been finance chief since May 2015, becomes senior vice president focused on sustainability.

Ms. Bimmerman, 54 years old, had been serving as vice president of finance and investor relations.

Rollins last October disclosed that the SEC was conducting an investigation that the company believed was focused on how it established period-end accruals and reserves, and the impact of those accruals and reserves on reported earnings, starting in 2015.

Rollins said it plans to provide an update on the SEC probe in a filing with the agency on Wednesday.
