Spain Sells EUR8 Billion in New 10-Year Bond -- Update

Spain sold 8 billion euros ($9.54 billion) in a new October
2031-dated government bond Tuesday, said one of the lead manager
banks.
Books for the new 10-year Spanish issue closed in excess of
EUR74 billion, including EUR6.71 billion trading interest from the
joint lead managers, said the same bank.
The spread on the new bond was set 8 basis points above the
yield of the 0.10% April 2031 peer, the current 10-year Spanish
benchmark. The bond has a 0.50% coupon and it was priced at 99.579,
at a reoffer yield of 0.542%, said the same bank.
Lead manager banks of the issue were Barclays, BBVA, Citi,
Credit Agricole CIB, J.P.Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
