Philip Morris International Inc. will move its headquarters to Connecticut from New York by next summer, the tobacco company said Tuesday.

The planned move received support from Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, Philip Morris said. The office will house Philip Morris's Americas teams and workers in other corporate functions.

The move will bring about 200 jobs to Connecticut, Philip Morris said. The company's headquarters are now at 120 Park Avenue, a Midtown Manhattan office building, according to a recent filing.
