Eni Makes New Oil-and-Gas Discovery Offshore Norway Through Var Energi

Eni SpA on Monday said that it has made a significant
oil-and-gas discovery through its majority-owned business Var
Energi in the southern North Sea offshore Norway.
The Italian major said the discovery was made in production
license PL027, in which Norwegian energy company Var Energi holds a
90% stake.
"Preliminary estimates place the size of the discovery between
220 and 360 Mboe hydrocarbon in place," it said.
Eni holds a 69.85% stake in Var Energi, while HitecVision AS
owns the remaining 30.15%.
