ABB Gets Traction-Equipment Orders for Trains in Germany

ABB Ltd. said Friday that it has won orders from Swiss-based
rail vehicle manufacturer Stadler Rail AG to provide traction
converters and energy-storage systems to power trains in
Germany.
The orders will "enable energy efficient and sustainable
transportation for operators Nahverkehrsverbund Schleswig-Holstein
GmbH in northern Germany and Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe in the
German Capital," the Swiss engineering company said.
The financial details of the contract weren't disclosed.
