Solvay SA has sold its process-materials business to Illinois-based firm Composites One LLC, the American company said Tuesday.

The American company has rebranded the business, which was a part of Solvay's Composites Materials Global Business, as Aerovac. The business produces, develops and supplies process materials and services involved in industrial applications, Composites One said.

The companies didn't disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.

The sale follows substantial divestments by Solvay, most recently of its North American and European amphoteric surfactant business to U.S. private equity firm OpenGate Capital, which it announced in January.
