Ocado Group PLC said Monday that it has started operations at its new mini customer fulfilment center in Bristol, U.K.

The online grocer and retail-technology specialist said the center adds capacity for Ocado Retail--the company's joint venture with British grocer Marks & Spencer Group PLC--able to fulfill over 30,000 orders per week.

Once running at peak capacity, the site will create 815 new jobs, the company said.

Shares at 1030 GMT were up 3 pence, or 0.1%, at 2,203 pence.
