STMicroelectronics to Propose Reappointment of CEO to Shareholders

STMicroelectronics NV said Thursday that its supervisory board
agreed to propose the reappointment of Chief Executive Jean-Marc
Chery at its next annual general meeting.
The European chip maker said it would put forward to
shareholders Mr. Chery's reappointment for a three-year mandate as
the sole member of the managing board as well as president and
chief executive of the group.
"The decision recognizes the importance of the continuity of
ST's strategy, execution and value proposition under Mr. Chery's
leadership," the company said in a statement.
The announcement comes after Mr. Chery confirmed he would be
available for a reappointment.
