Shares of Rocket Cos. Inc. climbed Wednesday after RocketMortgage.com launched a national mortgage broker directory.

"The directory not only includes the 43,000 individual loan officers who work with us, but every mortgage broker in the country," said Austin Niemiec, Executive Vice President of Rocket Pro TPO.

At 1:36 p.m. EST, Rocket Cos. shares gained 8.06% to $24.58. Volume topped 19 million shares, above the 65-day average volume of 10.6 million shares.

The company said the Rocket Mortgage website draws nearly 115 million visitors annually.
