International stocks trading in New York rose Friday.

Eni SpA was among the companies with ADRs that traded actively.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 1.7% to 154.68. The European index increased 1.9% to 128.24, the Asian index improved 1.4% to 224.19, the Latin American index rose 2.3% to 191.40 and the emerging markets index increased 1.4% to 400.99.

ADRs of Eni climbed 4.2% to $21.36. The company has agreed to buy a 20% stake in an SSE PLC and Equinor ASA-owned wind farm project that is supposed to be finished in 2026.
