Flutter Entertainment PLC said Friday that it has placed eight million new ordinary shares at a discounted price of 140.00 pounds ($188.30), or 155.44 euro ($188.84) for those who chose to settle in euro, to raise the GBP1.1 billion it was targeting.

The Dublin-based sports-betting and gambling group said the placing shares represent 5.2% of the company issued shares prior to the placing.

Shares were issued at a 2.1% discount to the closing price on Thursday.
