Total SE said Monday that its subsidiary Total Solar Distributed
Generation is building a renewable energy microgrid in partnership
with Canopy Power Pte in Cambodia.
The French oil-and-gas major said the project, which is located
in the island of Koh Rong Sanloem in Sihanoukville, consists of a
1.25-megawatt-peak solar photovoltaic plant and a 2-megawatt-hour
battery storage system. Construction has already started and
completion is expected in April 2021.
Singapore-based microgrid specialist Canopy Power will design
and build the microgrid, while Total Solar DG will finance, own and
operate the plant, according to Total.
