Anthem Inc. fell 2.3% in premarket trading Wednesday after the company said it cut its earnings outlook for the year amid uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company said it expects 2020 earnings of more than $17.87 a share, including about $4.43 a share in net unfavorable items. It previously expected full-year net income of more than $20.91 a share.

Anthem reaffirmed its adjusted-earnings guidance of more than $22.30.
