Lowe's Cos. Inc. plans to expand its supply-chain operations over the next 18 months, including opening a second e-commerce fulfillment center in Mira Loma, Calif., in October.

Lowe's also plans to open 50 cross dock delivery terminals, seven bulk distribution centers and four fulfillment centers, it said Wednesday. It expects to open 20 delivery terminals in the second half of the fiscal year.

The home-improvement company opened its first e-commerce fulfillment center in Nashville, Tenn., in 2018. The company set aside $1.7 billion that year to expand its distribution network through 2023.
