16:46 GMT - President Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir
Putin agreed to hold Russian-American consultations on the state of
the oil market during a Monday phone call, according to the Kremlin
website. "An exchange of views was also held on the current state
of the world oil market. Russian-American consultations on this
subject through the ministers of energy were agreed," the Kremlin
website said. Oil prices have cratered in recent weeks after
Russia's abrupt exit from its three-year old partnership with OPEC
earlier this month. (georgi.kantchev@wsj.com)
